About the RPC Hub

The RPC Hub provides a central repository where local leaders, commissioners and key stakeholders can easily find key EIF evidence, information on the case for action, and guidance on what works to reduce parental conflict. The Hub is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support their national programme of work on reducing parental conflict.

The Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) is an independent charity that champions and supports the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children, young people and their families. Visit our website for more information.

About EIF’s work on reducing parental conflict

This hub is part of EIF’s broader work on how the relationship between parents (whether together or separated) impacts parenting and child outcomes. EIF has undertaken a range of research and practical projects to support local areas in reducing parental conflict, building on several innovative evidence reviews conducted in collaboration with Professor Gordon Harold at the University of Sussex. Our work suggests that parental relationships are crucial to healthy child development and children’s life chances, and that addressing parental conflict should be a key part of early intervention efforts.

EIF is working with DWP to support local areas in the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme. This includes a national programme to disseminate evidence on why parental conflict matters for child outcomes, developing practical tools including a commissioner’s guide and RPC Planning Tool, assessing interventions and adding these to the flagship EIF Guidebook of programmes, and building this online hub to collate key resources.
